2:30PM - 4:15PM Session I: Innovation Works: Capturing China Internet Opportunity

This session is for general audience. The Chinese Internet has evolved into a new era. During this new era, opportunities should be considered the most valuable. Dr. Kai-fu Lee will describe the exciting opportunities and important trends of the Chinese internet:

• E-commerce is poised to take off, and with that, advertising will become valuable.
• Mobile Internet will grow exponentially, eventually overtaking the traditional Internet.
• Cloud computing will enable a new software industry, previously non-existent due to piracy.
• A new crop of entrepreneurs will emerge, but they need coaching and angel funding.

4:30PM - 5:30PM Session II: Details on Innovation Works: a Unique Company-building Platform

This session is for those who are interested in joining Innovation Works (http://www.innovation-works.com/). Innovation Works is created to provide a unique environment, where angel funding, entrepreneur coaching, back-office support, top-engineer recruiting, and a shared LAMP-based platform are combined into one entity. This company-building platform will reduce time-to-market, and improve the success rate of our portfolio companies. Every year we expect to bring in 50-100 people, and spin-off five companies.
